So I was helping my husband load the car with his contribution to a work “Friendsgiving.” I bumped a bagged item I didn’t recognize and my husband said “It’s a helmet. The safety officer said I have to have it.” I shrugged and said, “Well, you need a safety helmet if you happen to visit a website.” I meant worksite, of course, but we both got a good laugh out of my early morning mistake!
I hope you enjoyed reading about my little goofy moment. I have missed writing, and hope to return to a renewed schedule of posting soon. I have many ideas, but not much time to write them down.
Right now I am spending all my extra time sewing. 🧵 Thanks to my wonderful husband, I have a lovely new sewing space in our basement. This year I made matching dresses for my oldest daughter and granddaughter in time for Mother’s Day. I made tucks to shorten my granddaughter’s skirt when it was too long. I enjoyed the little extra detail—much more fun than cutting it shorter!

Now I am almost finished with my Mother-of-the-bride dress—a good bit of handwork to go. Also in line is the bride’s rehearsal dinner dress (a simple design) and two tiny flower girl dresses. So the time factor is a bit stressful and writing is lower on the to-do list. But I will be back.
Until work in my personal 🧵sewing factory slows down, have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends, a joyous holiday season, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for reading, commenting, and sharing Hibbard House with me!
